Corporate Planning & Development

This role will be situated in the Corporate Planning & Development Department and will report to the Head of Long Range Planning.

Scope of Work

-Develop, validate and maintain economic tools, models and methods supporting NOC performance assessment, investment decision and resources valuation. Define their application and take appropriately into account new theories or tools. Maintain documentation and models in conformity with the appropriate contracts, legal framework and methods. Perform corresponding training to appropriate personnel. - Carry out petroleum project economic valuations to support their progress through the investment decision gates. Contribute to and deliver economic outputs for the Business Plan (including Budget & Long Range Business Plan, FDP and Reserve exercises): collect and ensure the validity and consistency of the data required to integrate these exercises, carry out economic studies they require. Present results and onboard management. - Support business planning and performance monitoring: contribute to define economic drivers, business performance KPI (required by the CEO, the Board and the shareholders to steer NOC) and define relevant monitoring. This role will be situated in the Human Resources Department and will report to the HR Manager Scope of Work:

Scope of Work

This Position reports to the Lead Structures & Pipeline [S&P] Engineer. The Job holder will:
  • Meet the required Pipeline and Riser ]PLR] objectives as cascaded down from E&C. Ensure Implementation of NOC HSE policy and objectives in activities.
  • Ensure the implementation of NOC Quality policy and continuous improvement plan. Ensure safety and timely completion of projects.
  • Ensure NOC rules, specifications and procedures are followed in the execution of projects.
  • Be the TRP (Technical Reference Person) for PLR discipline and define / oversee / ensure and assure compliance to the Pipeline Integrity Management System is maintained within the business unit across all departments incl. development, field operations
  • Be the focal point for 3rd party interaction and obligations in relation to pipeline activities and ensure that life time extension analytical and execution tasks are undertaken.
  • Manage the cross oil company EPRS [Emergency Pipeline Response Strategy] and maintain spare parts and processes to meet this obligation.
  • Ensure cost saving in budgeting and projects are executed within the estimated time frame and cost.
  • Ensure no damage to any NOC or other operators’ assets and environment in the course of executing projects.

  • Ensure that contractors comply at all times with safety rules, taking actions as required in case of disregards.

  • Carry out PLR preliminary basic engineering studies/design in-house. Develop cost estimates, budgets and scopes of work as required. Review and comments on engineering studies. Drive/initiate the requirement for undertaking engineering studies as appropriate. Ensure robustness of scopes of work, budgets etc.
  • Ensure technical compliance of the contractors with the Contract/Frame Agreement. Lead Technical reviews.
  • Review and manage approval of the relevant engineering deliverables received from Engineering Contractors during project lifecycles.
  • Mange and verify that all engineering design, construction and project activities are performed in the best conditions of safety, quality, cost and overall efficiency by third parties or in house
  • Support FOPS for the shutdown activities.
  • Report to Lead S&P Engineer as required and regularly with weekly report and when decisions impacting E&C activities must be taken.
  • Undertake, review and approve FFS assessments as required. Provide recommendations and corrective actions to ensure integrity of PLR assets are maintained.
  • Manage pipeline design issues with both analytical and practical experience. Able to review outputs from pipeline design programs and make comments/recommendations. Review and validate in-house engineering tools/spreadsheets.
  • Ensure pipeline surveys are carried out in accordance with NOC regulations and standards.
  • Continue to develop technical skills in TRP / Lead roles.

Profile Requested

  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering. Masters Qualification preferred.
  • Recognized expertise in the field of PLR engineering for oil & gas facilities. 15+ years of experience.
  • Typically 5-10 years of professional experience in PLR engineering and offshore installation. 5+ years within an Oil Company.

Drilling and Wells

This is a permanent and residential position based in Ras Laffan working 5 days per week.

Scope of Work

  • The job holder assists the D&W Warehouse Equipment Specialist with managing D&W Warehouse and Yard Operations activities in GWC base in order to provide safe and efficient Completions and Well Services equipment loadouts and replenishments as per D&W equipment handling guidelines and Warehouse operations procedures.

Field Operations

This is a permanent and residential position for Qatari Nationals only.

Scope of Work

Provide Al Shaheen process engineering experience, direction and guidance to the NOC operations to maximize production and injection performance. Key member who holds the process technical knowledge of the existing operations. Leverages facilities “know-how” to maximize production in a wide range of circumstances within the existing or situational safety and capacity constraints. Drive continuous process improvement by evaluating the constraints of the existing systems, identifying best improvement opportunities and delivering those modifications through various routes; such as maintenance, small projects, E&C and CPD/Major Projects.



  • Drive incident free environment through personal commitment to the strong safety culture.
  • Contribute to asset integrity by reporting any anomaly observed in the daily monitoring of the plant.
  • Ensure that all projects and changes are assessed within safety and operational envelopes.

  • Coach and support Graduate Process Engineers in the development of system understanding and execution of studies and projects.
  • Provide front-line Process Engineering support to Operations; working effectively with Offshore, Onshore Operating Centre, Maintenance and support functions.
  • Manage the interface between various NOC engineering groups and Operations, especially for activities such as equipment test runs and capacity constraint searches.
  • Produce pre-FEED maturity deliverables for Class 1 projects requiring multidiscipline execution and external engineering. Hand over deliverables to E&C for detail engineering and construction.
  • Produce detailed statements of requirement for Class 2 modifications that do not require further external engineering resources. Enlist M&I discipline engineering expertise, as needed, to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Represent Field Operations in CPD and Major Project reviews to ensure that fit for purpose future developments are delivered to Operations.
  • Undergo crisis response training and assist during emergency response situations as required.

Profile Required

  • Professional industry body accredited Process Engineering degree (e.g. IChemE, AIChE) or similar. Eligible for Professional Body registration
