Field Operations

This is a permanent and residential position based in the Head Office in Doha, Qatar.

Scope of Work

The Operations Readiness and Assurance Specialist is accountable for:
  • Being the focal point and providing assurance for the continual improvement of existing operating procedures to ensure NOC is maintaining the best industry practice.
  • Providing operational input to HAZOPs, HAZIDs and JSAs as required ensuring safe delivery of projects to offshore.
  • Reviewing and providing operational comment to brownfield & Major projects to ensure commissioning and start up takes place safely and flawlessly.
  Operations Readiness and Assurance Specialist must drive the incident free culture in all aspects of the job. Shall assist in:
  • Project scope readiness for both Brownfield & Major projects.
  • Focal Point & Assurance for Procedures and Guidelines.
  • Assurance of Shut-down scopes and strategy plans.
  • Project SIMOPS activities readiness.
  • Support for Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
  • HAZID/HAZOP identifications.
  Continual improvement of Operating Procedures:
  • Focal for writing and updating of operational procedures to ensure NOC is maintaining best industry practice.
  • Prepare roll-out package for new procedure incl. procedures which has major and/or critical content revised. Roll-out done via offshore visit or/and VC meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with operation procedures and guidelines within the asset to ensure process safety, operational safety and plant integrity.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with HSE (occupational and process) legislation, company standards, employee safety and a responsible environment attitude.
  • Ensure compliance with discipline area processes and standards by all users to maintain safe operations.
  • Ensure a clear line of sight between procedures and guidelines.
  • Operational Input to HAZOPS, HAZIDs, JSAs:
  • Support and review asset specific procedures in aspect of operations readiness to JSA, HAZID/HAZOP.
  • Work with various departments to identify & achieve best operational practice.
  • Commissioning and Start-up:
  • When reviewing projects, exhibit financial prudence in all decisions to ensure company expenditure is optimized.
  • Assist to optimize an effective and efficient scheduling of work is in place to enhance safety.
  • Provide operations experience, asset experience and project experience to brownfield and major projects to ensure design is accepted by the offshore community.
  • Minimize process equipment downtime and operational cost in line with the company objective.
  • Seek to add value to opportunities through well-coordinated and timely injection of operational requirements and considerations.
  • Ensure Offshore has good and timely project information. Maintain a good contact to offshore operations.

Profile Required

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or international equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in petrochemical, refining, oil/gas exploration or production industries
  • Experience in offshore commissioning, survey, audit, shut-down & production planning, offshore supervisor and loss management would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated good cooperation skills.

Scope of Work

Accountable for the development of maintenance engineering solutions to support maintenance execution team with the correct procedures, spare parts and technical specialism in maintenance and engineering of mechanical static equipment, piping and valves.

  • Technical evaluator for mechanical equipment item spare part stock replenishment.

  • Responsible for new Spare Parts, ensuring they are referenced and attached to their equipment through the BOM in PALM
  • Supply the TADM with the stock preservation operation to be carried out by logistics or specialized company for equipment under own area of expertise.
  • Anticipate obsolescence, generate action plan for mitigation and present to the Lead Engineer
  • Identify opportunities to improve contractor/supplier contracts, reduce costs and improve the quality of services/products supplied.
  • All staff must be willing to participate in Crisis Response Training and to assist during Emergency Response Situations if required.

Profile Required

  • BSc in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 8-10 years’ experience on an oil & gas field with at least 3 years at technical support level and at least 2 years in Mechanical maintenance level
  • Significant technical design knowledge of offshore plant mechanical equipment, piping and valves.
  • Demonstrate competency in area of specialism static equipment, piping and valves
  • Practical knowledge of maintenance and inspection management tools (SAP module PM & MM)
  • Significant knowledge and experience of offshore maintenance procedures

Qualifications

Experience

Scope of work:

This role will be situated in the Health and Industrial Hygiene Service and will report to the Health & Industrial Hygiene Lead. The principal functions of this role are the following;
  • Contribute to the development of the Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene Service.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with site authorities and other departments.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Health and Hygiene awareness campaigns.

Scope of Work

This role will be situated in the HSE-Q Department and will report to the Head of Quality. The main functions of the role will be the following:

Drilling and Wells

This is a permanent and residential position based in the NOC Head Office.

Scope of Work

This position is accountable for the implementation and development of the optimization process and performance improvement of all Drilling Operations. He/she will analyze drilling operations performances and develop D&W performance reports. Reference person for the generation of all performance dashboard and department documentation for all relevant stakeholders. He will propose performance improvements and targets to Drilling Engineering, Drilling Operations and all stakeholders. He will ensure follow up for delivering a continuous improvement of drilling operations with the support of a 24/7 Drilling and Well Real Time Support Center.
  • Referent person for the management, coordination and production of the overall D&W performance process.
  • Develop and maintain D&W drilling, well service and well intervention performance metrics, tools and methodologies and in charge of the delivery of the relevant performance reports.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the Drilling Performance Knowledge Base through improvements to the processes, data entry and analysis and lesson learned system.
  • Reference person for the generation of all performance dashboard and department documentation for all relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop communication tool kit (dashboards, flyers and other formats) and promote the sharing of performances and good practices to D&W entity and shareholders.
  • Coach Wellsite Engineers and DSV for the implementation of the performance process culture onboard and for the weekly performance meeting.
  • Develop a probabilistic approach to the well time, cost time estimates based on the Best Composite Time approach.
  • Develop a benchmark to compare NOC D&W performances to peer Companies e.g. Rushmore or equivalent.
  • Highlight opportunities for cost efficiency and performance improvement, identify challenges and propose innovative technology and/ or performance targets to Drilling Management, Engineering and Operational Teams.
  • Participate actively in the achievement of the D&W cost efficiency program.
  • Propose and launch advanced engineering studies to improve D&W performance.
  • Ensure that the process are followed by all stakeholders: monitor processes performance for key documents like a fit for purpose well drilling programs thru adequate approval in document management system / track Final Well Report on time delivery and the adequate utilization of WellVIEW as main data repository system for the whole Well Life cycle.
  • Establish operational improvement guidelines that will be incorporated in Drilling & Completion Manuals.

Profile Required

  • Preferably a Master’s Degree in Petroleum, Mechanical or any relevant engineering degree.
  • 15 years’ experience in Drilling & Workover Operations.
